Park Rules

The complete list of rules and regulations for McAllister Park can be found in the City of San Antonio Code of Ordinances Chapter 22 - Parks and Recreation.

  • The use of alcohol is prohibited in McAllister Park except by special event permit. (Sec. 22-1)

  • The use of glass containers is prohibited in McAllister Park (Sec. 22-3)

  • Smoking and tobacco products are prohibited in all city parks (Sec. 36-6)

  • Camping is not allowed in city parks except for special events and/or holiday celebrations when the park curfew is lifted by the City of San Antonio Parks and Recreation Department (Sec. 21-28)

  • It is unlawful to have a fire in city parks except in designated barbeque pits. (Sec. 22-25.1)

  • Unauthorized trail maintenance or trail building is prohibited. (Sec 22-26(d), Sec. 21-6(b) and Sec. 21-9)

  • It is unlawful for a person to drive any motorized vehicle along or across any public park except upon public roadways. Driving motorized vehicles along trails or creeks is illegal. (Sec 22-4.1)
